Grand Theft Auto 1 and 2 spotted for PS3, Vita release

Busted!

The original Grand Theft Auto and Grand Theft Auto 2 have been rated by the ESRB for release on PlayStation 3, Vita and PSP.

The US ratings board gave Grand Theft Auto a 'Mature' warning, while GTA2 was labelled 'Teen' (thanks, NeoGAF).

It's likely the games will be launched as digital downloads via the PlayStation Store as part of the PSone Classics range.

Grand Theft Auto developer Rockstar has yet to mention any plans to re-release the games, although has been recently re-launching its back catalogue across a number of platforms.

Re-releases of the games would make sense, too, as the September release of Grand Theft Auto 5 grows nearer. Here's hoping GTA: London is included.
