GMG pulls EA games outside UK

UPDATE: GMG in talks with digital distributor.

UPDATE: Green Man Gaming has sent Eurogamer the following statement:

"The GMG team are delighted to be distributing EA products in the UK through our partners Ztorm. EA have a fantastic selection of titles that that we know our gamers will enjoy. Whilst we are only supplying our UK based customers at the moment we are hoping that we will be in a position offer EA products on our local language European GMG partner websites in the near future."

ORIGINAL STORY: Digital shop Green Man Gaming has pulled all EA games from its virtual shelves in all regions but the UK.

Existing sales made outside the UK will be honoured, GMG promised. "You will receive your game(s), and they will continue to work," it said.

It also promised to honour its ongoing Battlefield 3 competition, and said its 10 Days of EA promotion, which only launched yesterday, will continue in the UK.

In a blog post (now removed), GMG community manager James Livett did not offer an explanation for the removal of EA games outside the UK, but did apologise for it.

Eurogamer has contacted Green Man Gaming for comment.
