Giveaways APB beta key giveaway!

This past week Electronic Arts and Realtime Worlds have revealed that APB will be released on 29th June in the US and on 2nd July in Europe. Developed by GTA creator Dave Jones and the men who brought you Crackdown, it's a game of cops and robbers played in 100-man sessions; part MMO, part FPS, and all very progressive and genre-dodging.

But hey, don't take our word for it. Thanks to the generous random-number-generating men at RTW, we've got 10,000 beta keys that will allow you access to the game in advance of release. All you have to do to claim one is log in, then click the button below and follow the instructions to download the game and get up and running.

APB is currently being run in closed beta sessions. Once you receive your key and set up your account, you'll be sent updates letting you know which team you've been assigned to and when sessions are taking place. Then you just need to log in and play at the right time. Access to the closed beta will run until early June.

In the meantime, you're advised to read over our recent previews: last summer's introduction to 100-player battles and persistent world elements; our walkthrough of the game from Epic Games' Mark Rein, who only mentioned Unreal Engine 3 four million times; and our in-depth hands-on from late last month.

This giveaway has now finished. If you successfully claimed a key, it should appear below, along with instructions for what to do next.
