This time it's James Ohlen, lead designer of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Neverwinter Nights and Dragon Age: Origins, and director of Star Wars: The Old Republic. Ohlen leaves BioWare after a staggering 22 years.
The community of Star Wars: The Old Republic paid a heartfelt tribute to departed actor Carrie Fisher over the Christmas holiday. Her Princess Leia will forever be an iconic part of Star Wars.
Make some time this morning to watch the new Star Wars: The Old Republic trailer - seriously. It's better than at least four of the Star Wars movies (sorry, Force Awakens).
The six-minute video acts as a setup for Knights of the Eternal Throne, the new expansion due for release on 2nd December, and lays out some of its characters.
There's bad guy Emperor Valkorion (seriously, what is it about being in charge?) and Empress Vaylin and really, the core of the trailer is about how the influence of the Force can corrupt.
Star Wars: The Old Republic will expand again this autumn with the release of Knights of the Eternal Throne (the acronym KOTET is catchier, particularly when paired with "SWOTOR", which is how SWTOR tends to be pronounced - sounds a bit like an alien Star Wars language when you say it altogether out loud).
There's not much expansion detail but "more of BioWare's cinematic storytelling" was mentioned in the blurb, which makes it sound similar in tone (and title) to previous expansion Knights of the Fallen Empire, which our review praised. The expansion blurb mentioned "exciting new game features" too.
In preparation for the expansion there's a free-trial for Chapter 1 of Knights of the Fallen Empire.
Looking for a Rey to spend your money? Ren look no further for it is Star Wars Day! M'az Kanata believe it!
There are promotions on Steam, GOG, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and the App Store. Google Play doesn't seem to be doing anything significant. There are a handful of promotions surrounding Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Wars Battlefront, including a PS4 and Origin discount to the game - and 50 per cent off on Xbox Live if you're a Gold member.
On Xbox Live the promotion is a bit naff: earn £3 promotional credit when you buy the film Force Awakens and play Star Wars Battlefront.
The creator of a Kickstarter for a Star Wars open world role-playing game has pulled the project after enduring a week of ridicule on social media.
Star Wars: The Old Republic's Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion is getting a new chapter - the first of seven - with Anarchy in Paradise, due 11th February.
Subscribers of The Old Republic will receive all of the content in Knights of the Fallen Empire for free, so long as they maintain their subscription. New players will be able to jump in at level 60.
Developer BioWare offered the following synopsis of Anarchy in Paradise's story:
Writer Drew Karpyshyn has returned to BioWare. He left in 2012 - I interviewed him after his departure - to concentrate on his Chaos Born trilogy of fantasy books and, now that they're complete, he's decided to return.
I'd love to visit BioWare headquarters in Edmonton, Canada, and now I sort of can. And I don't even have to leave my desk.

Strongholds can be decorated with trophies and furniture, and there's even a kind of leaderboard associated with who's got the best stuff, called a Stronghold Directory.
Look! Over there! It's Star Wars: The Old Republic being still alive and shouting about it.
Shouting about two new expansions coming this year, in fact. "Expect to see two digital expansions in 2014 just like you did last year, with one similar to Galactic Starfighter in scope and one more closely resembling Rise of the Hutt Cartel," wrote senior producer Bruce Maclean on the game's website.
That's in addition to new PVP seasons, Flashpoints (dungeons), Operations (raids), new gear, performance improvements and class changes.
That "multi-year" Star Wars game deal EA signed with Disney in fact lasts a decade, EA has revealed.

There are different space-battle gameplay modes and a variety of battle locations to zoom through. You can even earn XP for your character on the ground by flying around and pew-pewing things.

The free-to-play relaunch of Star Wars: The Old Republic was disappointing; the new business model badly fit the game, hence our critical 4/10 re-review. But there are faint glimmers of hope.

EA COO Peter Moore has given BioWare a vote of confidence after perhaps the most tumultuous year in the developer's history.
Drew Karpyshyn not only resembles Commander Shepard facially - he created him. Drew Karpyshyn was one of BioWare's greatest ever writers. He was lead writer of cherished Star Wars role-playing game Knights of the Old Republic, and he was lead writer of Mass Effect 1, 2, and all the books in-between (not Deception). Along the way, Karpyshyn also influenced Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal, Neverwinter Nights, Jade Empire and massive storied MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic - a job that meant he couldn't be a part of Mass Effect 3.

Digital sales platform Steam has a reputation for its 75 per cent sales - and many gamers love them. But for rival Origin and its maker EA, that's not the right approach.
Origin boss David DeMartini told Gamesindustry International that random deep-discounting of games "cheapens" IP, and promised not to copy the practice.
"We won't be doing that," he said, bluntly. "Obviously they think it's the right thing to do after a certain amount of time. I just think it cheapens your intellectual property.
