The Pokémon Bank app, which lets players transfer their adorable little fighters, will launch on the 3DS eShop on 27th December, Nintendo has announced.
With Pokémon Bank players will be able to withdraw and manage up to 3000 Pokemon. They'll also be able to transfer their Pokémon between Pokémon X and Pokémon Y on the same 3DS.
Additionally, with the Pokémon Bank's linked application Poké Transporter, players will be able to transfer their critters from Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, and Pokémon White 2 to Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

Nintendo developer The Pokémon Company has spoken out in the wake of an iPhone game scam which fooled thousands of gamers into downloading a broken version of Game Boy classic Pokémon Yellow.
To celebrate the upcoming Pokémon Video Game Championships in Europe, from 1st March Eurogamer is teaming up with The Pokémon Company International to offer a Fighting-type Pokémon to help anyone trying to battle their way to victory.
The special Lucario Pokémon knows the Bullet Punch move, a powerful attack that is usually difficult to learn. This Lucario also has the Hidden Ability Justified, increasing its Attack when it takes damage from Dark-type moves. We should all be so fortunate.
Apparently this Lucario is considered by many to be the strongest Fighting-type Pokémon, so if you bring him to bear on opponents in the Pokémon Video Game Championships, you should be laughing all the way to the Pokébank (disclaimer on behalf of Pokélawyers: Pokébank is not an official Pokémon Company International product).

The Pokemon Company International has announced the Pokemon Video Game National Championships dates.
It takes place from 3rd March to 1st April 2012 in five cities across Europe. The UK tournament will be held at the NEC in Birmingham.
As in previous Pokemon tournaments, you compete in divisions based on your age. The four top finishers from each age division win travel and accommodation for the 2012 Pokemon World Championships, to be held 10-12th August 2012 in Hawaii.

Pokémon Black/White is the fastest-selling Pokémon game ever in Japan, shifting a staggering 2.63 million copies in its first two days on sale.
Andriasang reports the DS game smashed the 1.58 million two-day total that Diamond/Pearl managed when it launched in 2006.
Assuming customers only bought one version of the game, this would make it the fastest-selling title ever in Japan. The current record holder, Final Fantasy VIII, racked up 2,504,044 sales in its opening weekend back in 1999.
