Proposed 3DS launch title My Garden has been canned, publisher EA has announced.
According to Joystiq, the announcement was made during an event in New York today, with no formal explanation offered.
The title was first announced at the Tokyo Game Show back in September. No firm gameplay details were ever offered but it sounded like a Viva Pinata-esque set-up in which you had to nurture one of six different garden environments with help from a critter called Tanuki.
The 3DS will launch in spring 2011 if the website for EA's just-announced My Garden is to be believed.
The game, which allows you to create and tend to your own garden with help from a customisable raccoon, was revealed yesterday as a launch title for the 3DS. The game's website has now gone live and lists a spring 2011 release for the title.
We'll find out for sure on 29th September, when Nintendo is set to reveal more information about its much-anticipated handheld magic box.
EA has announced My Garden for 3DS.
The game allows you to design, grow and nurture your own 3D garden, using a "dazzling array" of 300 plants and flowers.
Producer Phil Katz revealed the title at the Tokyo Game Show this morning. He said he was "awestruck by how nature and flowers best utilise the amazing potential of the 3DS hardware".
