Metal Gear Solid 5 Videos

Hello! I know we've kept you waiting (huh?) for a Metal Gear Solid 5 stream but, now Aoife is off at Tokyo Game Show, I've finally been able to steal back the review copy she's been hogging. This of course means I've only just started playing the game; I'm up to chapter 3 to be precise, so don't expect to witness any S rankings - I'm still very much learning the ropes.

I have always been perfectly awful at stealth games. Even as a child playing hide and seek, in fact; I was the kid who instantly needed a wee as soon as they found their hiding spot. Now that I'm a grown man, little has changed - except maybe my bladder capacity. I'm not sure. It's been a while since I last played hide and seek.

If you're reading this then you're probably not playing Metal Gear Solid 5 right now, which honestly feels like quite an achievement this week. Snake's swan song seems to be absolutely everywhere, so we appreciate you giving us your time and attention.

Passing out isn't something people are meant to do very often - or at all, in fact - not that you'd know it from video games. Game protagonists, seemingly, like nothing more than sparking out for a while and then coming to later. I've been rendered unconscious twice in my life and I can't say either was a particularly fun experience, but that's certainly not stopping the games industry - Metal Gear Solid 5 made the latest contribution to the proud tradition just this week, in fact.

The week preceding the August bank holiday always feels like a long one but, with Metal Gear Solid 5 so tantalisingly close, it's never dragged on quite as arduously as this week has. For some of us, that is - Aoife happens to have been playing MGS5 for a couple of days now, meaning she's poised to tell you all about it in this week's Eurogamer show.

VideoWatch the full Hideo Kojima Q&A session from the Eurogamer Expo

Legendary game designer answered your questions on-stage.

It was by far the most popular developer session at this year's Eurogamer Expo - to the extent that we sadly had to turn a lot of people away - so ever since the show ended we've been talking to Konami and Kojima Productions about whether we could somehow present Hideo Kojima's appearance to you guys despite the original stipulation that we couldn't broadcast it.
