Ubisoft goes it alone.

Ubisoft has announced that Far Cry 2 is in development for PC and due for release in spring 2008.

Speaking to the Crymod forum, community manager Alexander Marschal said "[t]he pre-release of patch 1.4 is not supported by either CryTek and/or Ubisoft. So it is not recommended to install it since it may damage your Far Cry installation in an unknown way."
