Welcome to your weekly sampler of videos from Outside Xbox, where this week we were bemoaning the quality of childcare in video games.
Whatever your feelings on the Call of Duty series, you can't really deny that their releases still feel like notable events in the annual gaming calendar. Today, in case you hadn't noticed or didn't care, is both Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered's time to shine.
To mark this special occasion, I'll be dedicating most of the day to streaming both games across both Facebook and YouTube, to make things interesting.
I'll be starting the streams off with four hours of Infinite Warfare gameplay, where I'll be trying out the three major facets of the game - Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies. That'll go live on our Facebook page at 10:30am before hopping over to our YouTube channel at 11am where I'll be streaming until 2:30pm.
System checks have been initiated, the hype machine has been refueled and Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is clear for launch.
Hello! Normally we'd have an entertaining list video for you today - what with it being Saturday and all that - but to be honest we've all been surprisingly busy this week with things like PSVR, Halloween Overwatch, podcasts and Battlefield 1.
Fear not though, your Saturday will not be entirely lacking fun video stuff, because I'll be going live at 5pm BST with a stream of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's multiplayer beta.
I know, I know. It's the Call of Duty no one really wants this year. I'll be the first to admit I'd rather be playing a beta of Modern Warfare Remastered's multiplayer, but you never know - this might actually be surprisingly good.
The flashy Call of Duty XP event is going on in Los Angeles this weekend, bringing CoD fans and pro players together for the championship finals and to get a glimpse at the future of the franchise.
Rolled into the event is the first opportunity to get hands on with Infinite Warfare's multiplayer mode, which is exactly what Chris and I did yesterday. You can hear our impressions and watch fifteen minutes of gameplay in the video below. There's quite a lot to take in, but the most important piece of information is that you can turn into a giant robot dog and run around killing people. Mecha-Colin confirmed.
I'm so glad we captured Chris' gameplay and not mine - I am not the Call of Duty player I once was. Nonetheless, Infinite Warfare strikes me as bombastic and busy, but also rather fun. We also got hands on with Modern Warfare Remastered, so look out for something on that in a day or so.
A couple of days ago, Activision announced that Modern Warfare Remastered would only be available to those who bought the Legacy Editions of Infinite Warfare.
