Headlining the Euro PlayStation Store update today are PS1 JRPG Arc the Lad and new multiplayer maps for Uncharted 3.

Arc the Lad finally receives a belated English translation, after a mislabelled Japanese version was uploaded last year.

Arc the Lad costs 3.99. But if you're a PlayStation plus member, you can download it for free. This offer expires 15th February.

Arc The Lad European PSN store release date

English language version this week.

The English-language version of PlayStation 1 role-player Arc the Lad will finally be available to download from the European PlayStation Store on 18th January, developer MonkeyPaw Games has announced.

Arc The Lad's delayed re-release comes after a mislabelled Japanese version launched last October instead of the intended English-language release.

"Unfortunately, this is a mistake," said MonkeyPaw marketing manager Ray Almeda at the time. "We never intended to use the Japanese version. We expected the English version that we used in America. We're currently working with Sony on a fast and efficient fix, especially for those who have already downloaded the game."

PlayStation Plus subscribers can download charming Halloween-themed adventure Costume Quest for free until 19th October, Sony has announced.

PlayStation 1 role-player Arc the Lad, the first PSN Import title to arrive in Europe, also comes free up to 19th October.

Uncharted 3's multiplayer beta returns, exclusively, for Plus members until 19th October as well.

The PlayStation Network Import store that launched in the US last year is finally on its way to Europe.

As announced on the PlayStation Blog, developer MonkeyPaw Games will be bringing over a number of Japan-only PS1 titles in their original form.

The first three game to hit the service will be notoriously daft side-scroller Cho Aniki, forgotten tactical RPG Arc the Lad and vertical shooter Arcade Hits: Sonic Wings Special.
