GAME administrators reactivate Reward Cards

UPDATE: Gamestation Elite Cards also reactivated.

Update: Gamestation Elite Cards and GAME Reward Cards have both now been reactivated.

Both work in the same way: points are earned when buying all products, but can only be used/redeemed on pre-owned products.

Original story: GAME administrators have reactivated Reward Cards. Reward Points can be redeemed on pre-owned games and earned on all products.

This GAME Australia Reward Card advertising campaign apparently received lots of complaints.

GAME explained on Twitter.

"Your Reward Cards have now been reactivated by the Administrators for redemption against pre-owned stock," read the Reward Card Update 1 tweet by GAME.

"This means that points can be earned on all products AND redeemed against pre-owned items as of now," read the Reward Card Update 2 tweet.

Online seller ShopTo came under fire earlier this week for a "bad taste" campaign offered £3 to shoppers for then-unredeemable GAME Reward Cards. ShopTo later pulled the promotion.

GAME Group today listed the 211 GAME stores and 122 Gamestation stores that have remained open and are trading with public.
