Free Guitar Hero pack on XBL today

Plus: Rocky Horror tracks for Halloween!

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock has arrived, and Activision is celebrating by offering free music, Rocky Horror Picture Show songs and individual tracks from Soundgarden's Telephantasm album this month.

Starting today, Gold members of Xbox Live will be able to download a Rocktober pack for free. Included are Disturbed's "The Infection", Muse's "Resistance" and "Na Na Na" by My Chemical Romance.

From Tuesday, 19th October, the Rocktober pack will be offered as a premium download to all Xbox Live owners.

More excitingly, Rocky Horror Picture Show songs are on the way on 26th October. It's only my favourite musical of all time. Yes that's news. Bundled are "Time Warp", "Sweet Transvestite" and "Hot Patootie", and they'll cost 440 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360, £3.99 on PS3 and 550 Wii Points on Wii.

Soundgarden's Telephantasm album will be broken apart on the same day: 26th October. New single "Black Rain" will be among Soundgarden's offerings. Individual tracks cost 160 Microsoft Points/£1.59/200 Wii Points each.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock is available now on PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. Eurogamer's Johnny Minkley delivered the verdict.
