Forza Horizon 4 demo will be available later today

Time to gauge its worth.

Rejoice petrolheads! After speculation the demo for Forza Horizon 4 would be released in the coming weeks, we now know the demo will be available for download later today on PC and Xbox One.

According to Forza Horizon 4's Microsoft store page, the demo will be a weighty 27.83 GB, so it may be best to prepare some space in advance of the download. It's likely the demo will become available later this afternoon or in the evening.

We don't know exactly what the demo will contain, so it'll be interesting to see what Playground Games has in store for players. It could, however, be similar to the demo which was shown at E3 - which Digital Foundry described as a "racing masterclass".

I wonder if Forza will accurately represent soaring fuel prices in post-Brexit Britain.

Forza Horizon 4 is due to release in full on the 2nd of October, and will be available on Xbox One and PC. Those who buy the Ultimate Edition will be able to access the game four days early - but at the eyebrow-raising price of £79.99. Forza Horizon 4 is also due to feature a guest appearance from Master Chief, who will race around a Halo track in a Warthog while Cortana commentates. I hope Master Chief doesn't get too many points on his driving licence.
