Fortnite Forbidden locations: Where to dance at all forbidden locations

Here are the many forbidden places you can dance in Fortnite.

Finding forbidden locations is one of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges.

Completing it will give you additional XP to help go towards your many Fortnite Season 7 rewards.

If you're just getting started, our Fortnite Battle Royale tips and tricks can provide some helpful hints.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. What's new? Chapter 3 Season 3 has arrived! New additions include Reality Seeds and Saplings and riding animals, along with the new Battle Pass, characters collection and map changes. It's a good idea to know how to get XP fast in Fortnite.

Though you need to find five locations, thankfully there are many more across the map. Here are eight we've found so far:

Specifically, they can be found at the following locations:

South of Paradise Palms, on the mountain with the cacti:

Desert race track, at the taco shop on the south-west side:

South east of Frosty Flights, next to a campsite on a hill:

At the very south-west of the map, on a cliff overlooking the sea:

South of Pleasant Park, on top of the mountain topped by a ring of white trees:

Loot Lake, on the large island on the east of the lake:

Dusty Divot, on the north side overlooking the crater:

North of Salty Springs, on the second to top-most cliff on the north side:

Lazy Links has a sign in the gazebo on the east side of the complex:

North west of Wailing Woods is a sign perched on a cliff:

North of Wailing Woods is an ice cream truck on a cliff, with a sign next to it:

Chapter 3 Season 3 has arrived - bringing with it a new Battle Pass, character collection, map locations and Victory Umbrella, along with the return of Victory Crowns. You can now get Indiana Jones skins and cosmetics by completing challenges like collecting relics, damaging opponents in vehicles, and finding the secret door location. It's also good to know how to ride animals, the geyser locations along with where to find a Baller and zipline and use the new Grapple Glove, and if you're after a specific Battle Pass skin, then it's a good idea to know how to get XP fast.

How dancing in forbidden locations works

For the Week 1 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

  • Dance in different forbidden locations (5 total, 10 Battle Stars)

Across the map are signs with a dancer with a line crossed through it.

If you stand in front of one of these and use an emote (defaults to the B key on PC or Down on the console's D-Pad) you'll add one to your challenge total. A prompt will appear on screen if you are successful.

As with other challenges, you must do these as you play matches (you cannot enter the map without other players), so you'll have to avoid combat encounters as you attempt to find each location.

Note you need to complete the match in order for the challenge to be finished - quitting the match as soon as you collect it won't work.

If you're struggling, then we recommend playing Limited Time Modes, ideally those where you're part of only one of two teams - making it easier to explore the map without running into adversaries.
