Fortnite Expedition Outpost locations: Where to visit Expedition Outposts

How to find Expedition Outposts in Fortnite.

Visit Expedition Outposts is actually a requirement of two of Fortnite's many Weekly Challenges in Season 7.

Finding these Expedition Outpost locations will give you additional XP to help go towards your many Season 7 rewards.

If you're just getting started, our Fortnite Battle Royale tips and tricks can provide some helpful hints.

Note this particular challenge is no longer able to be completed. What's new? Chapter 4 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include the Grind Rails and Kinetic Blades, along with the new Battle Pass, character collection and Eren Jaeger skin. It's a good idea to know how to get XP fast in Fortnite.

Expedition Outpost Locations

You'll need to visit sevel Expedition Outpost locations, and to our knowledge there are exactly seven on the map. They're dotted around fairly evenly, so it may take a couple of games, but thankfully they're pretty easy to find, seeing as they're all big, red buildings!

Here are seven we've found - enough to complete the challenge.

In closer detail, the Expedition Outpost locations are:

West of Paradise Palms On the edge of the desert area as it turns to grass, in quadrand H8.

South of Shifty Shafts On a mountainside in the snowy area, on the border line between quadrants D8 and D9.

West of Lonely Lodge at the top of a hill in a grassy area, towards the north if quadrant I5.

North-west of Tomato Temple, just across the river in the open grassy area, bottom right corner of quadrant F3:

West and slightly south of Dusty Divot is a mountain. Top left corner of F6.

North west of Snobby Shores in the valley between the two large mountains heading north. On the border between B5 and C5

North-east of Pleasant Park on another mountainside. Top of quadrant D3.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 is here! It brings a free Lego Insider skin and redemption codes with it, along with a new Victory Umbrella. We've also got pages on new features like Medallions, Weapon Mods, and how to complete a Train Heist. Meanwhile, learn what the best weapons are in the current season, how to get XP fast, and what the best PC settings are to help earn a Victory Crown.

How do you complete visit Expedition Outposts?

For the Week 7 and Week 10 Challenges, you are tasked with the following:

  • Week 7: Visit Expedition Outposts (7 total, 5 Battle Stars)
  • Week 10: Visit Expedition Outposts in a single match (4 total, 5 Battle Stars)

Across the map are Expedition Outposts. They're easy to spot, being large, red buildings, and are actually marked on the map subtly as well - and they haven't changed location between Week 7 and Week 10, so you can do both at once easily!

The only key point to note is that for the Week 10 challenges, you need to visit all of the required four in a single match, whereas for the Week 7 challenge, it's just 7 int total but across as many matches as it takes.

When you find one, you don't need to interact with it or do anything, just get within a few yards of it and it will be added to your total.

Do this a total of seven (or four) times to complete the challenge. As with other challenges, you must do these as you play matches (you cannot enter the map without other players), so you'll have to avoid combat encounters as you attempt to find each location - but thankfully it doesn't need to be completed in one game, you can take as many matches as you like to do visit them all.

When you are done, there are plenty of other Challenges to take on this week - so keep playing!
