Fortnite character locations - Who they are and where to find all 24 characters explained
Who will you meet this season? The Character Collection tasks you with finding all of the NPCs scattered across the Fortnite map in Chapter 3 Season 2.
Most you'll meet by exploring the map, but others are harder to find since they either rotate their location or their appearance in the match itself. You even have to attack three NPCs to add them to your Character Collection.
Below you'll learn how to complete your Character Collection and all of the current character locations in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.

Character Collection in Fortnite explained
Every new Fortnite season brings a new collection of characters - both original characters and ones from pop culture - to the island.
The characters which appear on the Fortnite map either act as a vendor or as a hostile enemy who will attack you on site, but, if you defeat them, you'll be rewarded with a legendary weapon.

The Character Collection is a catalogue containing all of the characters which are currently appearing on the island during the current season. To add a character to this collection, all you have to do is find and talk to them during a match or, if they're a hostile foe, attack them on sight.
It's important to note that certain characters in Chapter 3 Season 2 won't appear in every match, so, to find them all, you'll have to visit certain locations multiple times to see if they're present.

Character Collection list and locations in Fortnite
Below you'll find all of the characters, along with their locations, that are currently in the Chapter 3 Season 2 Character Collection.
Like last season, a number of these characters will only appear in specific matches, such as the various Jonesys in The Joneses and the residents of Camp Cuddle. The Imagined will appear on one of three Seven Outposts every match, while Agent Jones will appear at one of two Seven Outposts every match.
We've put 'Variant' next to these characters in the table below, so you know which ones to keep an eye out for.
You also need to attack Gunnar, Huntmaster Saber and Slone to add them to your Character Collection.
Character Collection badge reward explained
Completing the Character Collection for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 will earn you a small reward, but it's not Battle Pass XP.
Instead, you obtain a badge in your Legacy catalogue, which is accessed from the Careers tab in the game's main hub. This tab also allows you to look back on your Fortnite achievements starting from the beginning of Chapter 2.

It's currently possible to complete the Character Collection for Chapter 3 Season 2 and earn the badge, but it will take you a number of matches to find all of the characters.
It's also important to note that you'll earn a small amount of XP when you talk to a character during a match.
Chapter 3 Season 2 has arrived! New additions include the Prowler skin, along with the return of jetpacks and Choppas. As we enter Season 2's final month, it's a good idea to know how to get XP fast in Fortnite. You can also complete Resistance challenges, including collecting signal jammers and finding an energy fluctuation. Don't forget about the Seasonal challenges, which include planting saplings and call an Air Strike on a tank. Meanwhile Victory Crowns and the character collection have returned, along with a new Victory Umbrella to earn.
