Fortnite Baller locations, how to use The Baller in different matches

Where to find - and how to use - The Baller in Fortnite.

Fortnite's The Baller is a new vehicle type in the game introduced as part of Season 8.

The Baller is farm from the first land-based vehicle, and far from the fastest, but it still allows you to get around the map quickly and complete the odd weekly challenge, if you know The Baller locations, of course.

If you're just getting started, meanwhile, our Fortnite Battle Royale tips and tricks can provide some helpful hints for newcomers.

Fortnite plane locations

The Baller in Fortnite spawns in the same way as other vehicles, like the Plane, have done in the past - across the map in specific spots, but only so many at a time.

It can often be a bit hidden - especially in the Pirate Camp locations, which are often when you'll be able to find them - as Ballers will be tucked away inside some structures behind some debris, and clearly visible outside others, like the old Outposts where you could previous find planes. Here's a rundown of the specific spots we've found them so far.

Possible Fortnite Baller locations include:

West of Polar Peak, in the Pirate Camp:

North-east of Happy Hamlet, at the outpost halfway up the hill

South-west of Tilted Towers, in the Pirate Camp:

North-west of Fatal Fields, in the Pirate Camp:

West of Dusty Divot in the Pirate Camp:

South of Retail Row, in the Pirate Camp on the edge of the desert:

West of Lonely Lodge by the outpost that used to be an airstrip on the hill:

South-west of the Volcano in the Pirate Camp surrounded by lava:

West of Sunny Steps at an outpost amongst the large pools of water

North-west of Lazy Lagoon at a Pirate Camp on a hill

North-east of Pleasant Park at an outpost on a hill

South-east of Pleasant Park at Pirate Camp in the woods

Fortnite Baller tips

As well as basic flight movement, there are a few handy things to know about using The Baller in Fortnite. Here's a rundown of some tips we've picked up so far:

Be Spider-Man in a ball: Use the grappling hook like you're web-slinging above New York. The trick is to try and whip around things from the side, rather than swing below the treetops above you though - side hooks seem to generate much more speed and momentum as you boost past whatever you've grappled.

Climb almost anything: Similarly, as in the image above, you can use the grabbling hook to climb seemingly vertical surfaces like cliffs. Just grapple something above you, boost, and repeat while rollnig forwards and you'll get there.

Use hot air vents to cover large distances: It's probably not the fastest, but it's fun.

Other quick things you should know about the X-4 Stormwing:

  • Neither you nor the Baller take fall damage while driving it.
  • The Baller will protect you from incoming fire.
  • You can rebound of structures like a pinball, adding speed and momentum.
  • You can't shoot while inside it.
  • Clashing into another plane doesn't result an explosion right away either - most likely you'll just bounce off one another!
