Forager update finally brings year's worth of post-launch content to Switch and PS4

Out now on Xbox One and Game Pass too.

Forager, developer HopFrog's adorable - if fearsomely compulsive - open-world scavenging oddity, has finally updated its PlayStation 4 and Switch releases to add all the post-launch content that's made its way to PC over the last year.

Since its launch last April, Forager on PC has continued to enhance its core gameplay loop of ceaseless exploratory resource gathering and expansion (which throws in a smattering of dungeon crawling and puzzling for good measure) with a heap of post-launch updates, ranging from new biomes and game modes to better combat and boss fights.

All that has now finally made the jump to PS4 and Switch in one sizeable update, and publisher Humble Games has shared an overview of everything included over on its website. If you'd prefer to give your clicking finger a rest though, you'll also find the list below:

Watch on YouTube
  • New game modes
  • New biomes
  • New gear and item tiers
  • New and improved weather system
  • Improved combat
  • Improved boss fights
  • New enemies and bosses
  • Pets
  • Secret trader NPC (sells rare items)
  • New inventory and crafting menus
  • Nuclear powered structures

That's not all the Forager news either! After a considerable wait, the game has finally received an Xbox One release, where it's available to purchase for £16.74 and to download as part of Xbox Game Pass, if you happen to have a subscription. HopFrog notes the Xbox One version also includes all content now available on Switch and PS4 via today's big update.
