Find out what's waiting for you in The Outer Worlds' colony, Halcyon

"Can you pass a basic aptitude test? Then Halcyon is the place for you!"

Obsidian Entertainment has dropped a new The Outer Worlds teaser, inviting you to "come to Halcyon".

Debuted at PAX West, the new trailer depicts a tourist information advertisement enticing you to join new colony The Halcyon, where a raft of exciting new "employment communities" awaits you. You're guaranteed housing, work, and company-approved social clubs (as long as you don't look at the small print and realise nothing is guaranteed at all). And is it just me, or are the visuals a little different from the super cheery narration? Here, take a peek yourself:

"Do you dream of working on the frontier of space?" asks the blurb on the YouTube video description. "Can you pass a basic aptitude test? Then Halcyon is the place for you! Prosperity and adventure awaits on Terra 2, Monarch, and other exciting locations across the Halcyon colony. The character you decide to become will determine how your story on the Halcyon colony unfolds in The Outer Worlds."

Beyond the propaganda-tastic sales pitch, you can also get a peek at some of the environments you'll get to explore, as well as brief glimpses of the local wildlife and the weapons with which you can keep them at bay.

The Outer Worlds is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One - as well as the Xbox Game Pass - on 25th October, 2019. A Switch version is also in development but is still yet to be dated. Sorry!
