Far Cry 5 - The Holdouts solution

How to find and complete Far Cry 5's The Holdouts treasure puzzle.

Far Cry 5 The Holdouts is a puzzle you have to solve within the Whitetail Mountains region.

It's one of many Prepper Stash locations you'll find throughout the game, all giving you rewards once you solve and figure out how to access them.

The Holdouts solution

Location: Elliot Residence

Rewards: $1,000, 3 x perk magazine, Vietnam lighter

You can find the Elliot Residence due south of the FANG Center, just off the road from a nearby bridge. When you get there, you'll find plenty of cultists. Well, dead ones anyway. The family inside held out for a long time before they finally fell, and you can see the carnage everywhere.

To start the side-quest, approach the box with the Prepper Stash clue, next to the gun emplacement. You'll now need to find a way into the house, then into a hidden bunker.

So first things first: let's bust into the house. To do this, head to the rear of the house and look for a sign that says 'Resist Jacob'. There's a gap in the barbed wire here so you climb onto the porch roof.

Climb through the open window, turn right through the doorway, then out through the open window in front of you. Turn right on the front porch roof and go through the other open window. Head down the stairs, turn left and enter the kitchen.

In here you'll find the last dead member of the family that held out for so long. Grab the keycard on the floor and you'll hear some cultists are on their way.

Since there's only one way to reach you, you hold the tactical advantage. Three cultists will arrive by truck from the front, and two from the rear. Clear out all three at the front and either head through the house to engage the last two, or just wait for them to come to you. When they're all dead, jump down onto the ground.

The bunker is situated to the left-hand side of the house (when facing the front) - it has an American flag outside and a dead cultist slumped by the door. Shoot the padlock off the hatch door, open the hatch and climb down. Use the keycard on the locked door and enter to grab your goodies.
