Fan snaps up internet address spotted in Uncharted 4

May now make his own Easter egg.

An Uncharted fan has snapped up an internet address he spotted within Uncharted 4.

You'll find the brochure lying around in the game's fourth chapter.

There may be spoilers ahead.

Reddit user Dacvak saw the URL for a fake travel site, bangkokthetravelguide.com, listed within the game on the back of a brochure.

Typing the URL into his phone, Dacvak thought he might find an Easter egg from Naughty Dog. At the very least, he thought the URL would already be owned.

But it wasn't - no one owned the address. So Dacvak bought it.

Type in the address now and it'll take you to the Reddit thread where Dacvak excitedly reported having obtained the URL.

There, he also discusses his future plans for the site - including making it into his own Easter egg for Naughty Dog fans. Another Reddit user has already said they will donate their services as a web designer to make a The Last of Us sequel site.

Someone more unscrupulous might choose to run the page as a redirect to something, er, inappropriate. But Dacvak has been a Naughty Dog fan for some time and, while recovering from leukaemia, the studio sent him a signed art book. It sounds like he's now paying back that good will in kind.
