Epic Games Store experiencing issues following Fortnite live finale

UPDATE: Problems resolved.

UPDATE 9.15pm: Epic's store issues are now solved, the company has stated. Everything should be back to normal - except Fortnite, which remains sucked into a black hole.

ORIGINAL STORY 8.15pm: Epic Games Store users are experiencing issues with the launcher following the conclusion of Fortnite's climactic live event earlier this evening.

It's unclear of the exact cause, though Fortnite's dramatic finale was played and watched by millions - and many are still watching now, as mysterious numbers pop up around the game's holding screen black hole.

"We are aware that some folks are unable to login to the Epic Games launcher and are working on getting the service back to normal," the company wrote on Twitter this evening. "As a work around, you can elect to skip login to access games that don't require you to be online."

There's no word yet on when Fortnite will return.
