Editor's blog: Christmas updates!

Yes, we are going to put stuff up.

Christmas can be a difficult time of year - we're giving it our permission. The reason it's welcome to be difficult is that, thanks to Eurogamer posting things while we're on holiday, you can always nip over to the PC and crash yourself upon the festive boulders of our end-of-year features and incoherent metaphors!

In theory, tomorrow is our last day, with proper news and all that, and then the whole of Eurogamer is on holiday until 5th January. In practice, we will never surrender! So tomorrow we've got a special Eurogamer TV roundup of all the best bits of 2008, followed by Ellie's extensive review of the year's news in the middle of the week, our top ten features of the year, and then the Eurogamer Top 50 Games of 2008, with contributions from all your favourites. And the Rock, Paper, Shotgun guys.

Then we'll begin 2009 by catching up on some of the more obscure games we missed in the latter stages of the year, as well as some wacky crap from Japan, some indie fun and a few surprises. And if there's a game you loved in 2009 that we haven't covered, drop me a line in the comments and I'll look into it.

All the best and have a lovely break!
