EA makes Titanfall PC free to play on Origin for 48 hours

What Steam sale?

Titanfall is currently free to download and play via Origin for a 48-hour period.

Your 48 hours with the full game begins from the moment you first boot it up. EA's timer then runs down in real time - whether you're playing or not.

The offer is just the first in EA's new Origin Game Time promotion, which sounds similar to Steam's Free Weekend offers. It also comes at the same time as Steam's annual Summer Sale.

"We're launching Origin Game Time for Titanfall across the world over the next several hours, so if you don't see it available yet in your territory, you will soon," EA explained via the Origin blog.

"Origin Game Time games will appear on our Free Games page when they're available to download."

Choose to buy Titanfall at the end of the 48-hour period and all of your progress and unlocks will be carried into the full game.

"Titanfall is only the beginning for Game Time and there's more on the way," EA concluded. "Each Game Time will be unique: different game, different time on the Game Time clock."
