Grab a great all-round HyperX gaming keyboard for 25% off at Amazon

Get Hyper about this deal.

The HyperX Alloy Origins line of keyboards is one that's grown to amass a small family by this point, and one that's always offered great all-rounders in the world of game-ready 'boards.

That's certainly the case with the standard, full size Alloy Origins that Amazon currently has listed for £82, offering you the chance to save 25 percent off the £110 list price. Considering the way that more premium keyboards are offering more and more extravagant features such as analogue switches or OLED displays, the Alloy Origins offers a refreshing back to basics approach.

With it, you'll be getting an aircraft-grade alumnium chassis that should be especially sturdy and come with a good level of heft, emphasising how durable the Origins is. This is also a full size 'board, giving you the benefits and addition of both the nav cluster and an additional number pad for, well, punching numbers in, to offer a majorly clean aesthetic, too. A lot of the more enthusiast level boards offer smaller, quirkier layouts such as 40 percent, 65 percent, 75 percent and TKL, so going for a full set of keys gives you all the functionality you could ever need.

Inside, the Alloy Origins utilises HyperX's own Red switches, which represents a switch to previous HyperX offerings that utilised a slew of Cherry MX options. This means that HyperX's are clones, but with a similar light and linear keypress, as demonstrated with their 45g force, should be snappy enough for most games, especially shooters.

For fans of RGB, there is some present with this specific candidate. HyperX's lighting has usually been some of the best in the business, and it would make sense to expect something crisp and vibrany with the Alloy Origins. There's a full suite of colours available for adding some extra razzle-dazzle to your setup.

Handily, this keeb also comes with some additional software. It comes in the form of HyperX NGenuity which should allow access to programming macros as well as offering the chance to configure the RGB lighting that's present with a multitude of preset and custom effects.

The Alloy Origins, for £81.99, looks to be a marvellous deal if it's a capable all-round keyboard you're after that comes with a sturdy aluminium chassis, snappy Red switches and some bright RGB lighting, as well as the convenience and simplicity of a full size layout.
