Digital releases for MGS, ZoE HD

Snake's a-Live.

Kojima fans with an aversion to boxes are in luck as Konami has confirmed that the HD collections of Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders will also receive a digital release.

"Digital Download Versions are planned to be distributed via PlayStation Store [and] Xbox Live," the company has revealed via the official MGS and ZoE remake pages.

The MGS pack features remastered versions of PS2 hits Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, plus PSP's MGS: Peace Walker. PS3 versions will allow save data to be transferred from PSP to PS3.

The ZoE HD selection, meanwhile, comprises updates of the original Zone of the Enders and its sequel, The 2nd Runner.

Both collections were announced during Konami's pre-E3 press conference, with Metal Gear coming this November followed next year by ZoE.
