Dead Space iOS spin-off dated

Monsters in your pocket.

A new Dead Space game will be available on the App Store on 25th January, EA has announced.

The iPhone game will bridge the gap between the first game in EA's cosmic survival horror franchise and the sequel, due out a few days later on 28th January.

When the game was first unveiled late last year, EA promised it would be a "third person shooter - no rails, no mode switching."

The good news: if the two screens below are anything to go by, it will look rather fantastic. The bad news: you'll be wrestling with virtual thumbsticks.

That's not the only Dead Space-related ephemera on the horizon. Animated flick Dead Space: Aftermath is out on DVD and Blu-ray on 25th January as well.
