Dead Rising beheading to Wii?

Japanese reports suggest so.

Capcom may be planning to bring zombie slaughterer Dead Rising to Wii.

That's according to Japanese magazine Famitsu (translated by Kotaku), which claims this is a port of the Xbox 360 version, and has some character artwork to go with it.

It seems rather improbable given the technical implications of it all, and Xbox 360 to Wii ports are not something we tend to see. However, Dead Rising had minimum exposure in Japan two years ago; a problem unlikely to manifest on Wii given its popularity in the region.

There's no footage or shots of Dead Rising Wii yet, or any word on it heading West. We remain intrigued.

Originally released in September 2006 exclusively on Xbox 360, Dead Rising scored a respectable 8/10, with Tom moved to describe it as "the epitome of survival horror."
