Dark Souls Collector's Edition detailed

Deluxe set to cost same as standard game.

Forthcoming action RPG Dark Souls is getting a lavish Collector's Edition, and it won't cost you a penny more than the standard game, publisher Namco Bandai has announced.

The set includes a limited edition art book, a mini-strategy guidebook, behind-the-scenes video footage and a digital download of the game's soundtrack, all packaged in a metal case.

It's available for pre-order now for £39.99 – the same price as the standalone game – from GAME and Play.com.

From Software's spiritual successor to its thoroughly brutal PlayStation 3 exclusive Demon's Souls launches on PS3 and Xbox 360 in October.
