Dark Souls 3: Ringed City - Ringed Inner Wall

Our complete walkthrough and boss strategies to Dark Souls 3's final DLC.

The Ringed Inner Wall follows on from the Mausoleum Lookout area of the Ringed City DLC, with plenty of challenges lying ahead. If you need help with other parts of the DLC meanwhile, then take a look at our Dark Souls 3: Ringed City guide and walkthrough hub for plenty more.

In this room there's a locked door in the far left corner, straight ahead is an arched doorway, and there's a corridor to the right leading to another arched doorway. Head to the door to the right first, so you can chat with Lapp and grab an Ember.

Now go through the doorway straight ahead, but do so with your shield raised - there's an enemy waiting to ambush you. Same goes for the connecting corridor, though this one drops from above. Head down the stairs and attack the corpse (hint: it ain't a corpse). Then head down again and deal with the enemy there, along with another who joins the fight. Right at the bottom is a corpse with a Hollow Gem - grab it, then head left.

Nearly all these enemies can curse you, so kill them as fast as possible, don't hang around - be aggressive. Here you'll be met by a new enemy. Duel him like he's a knight, blocking swipes and dodging when he sets his blade alight. Strike back in the obvious gaps.

Instead of heading to the stairs where he came from, go right and kill the enemy there for another Titanite Chunk. Now head down the stairs, where you'll be set upon by two fast movers again. Deal with them, then carry on down. At the bottom kill the turtle man, then head through an ornate archway nearby. Inside there's three more of these, and these spellcaster enemies are much tougher in groups. Try deal with them quickly or use the doorway as a bottleneck.

Head down the spiral staircase for another fight with a knight-style enemy, though this one has a spear and also a turtle wizard backing him up. Draw him up the stairs and get a cheeky drop attack or two in on him for an easy win. Go down, show turtle boy who's boss, then grab the Shriving Stone nearby and head on.

Head up the stairs to your right and talk to the NPC at the door, but be fast - there will be some nasty dudes on their way to hurt you.

Once done there, sprint down the stairs, running past the enemies, towards the swamp. Ignore the big dudes and run left until you come to a ladder. Head up and across the bridge, again running left and avoiding the enemies there. Keep on and you'll see Lapp sat in a room. Chat to him, then grab the Covetous Gold Serpent Ring +3 from next to him.

Drop down from where you are to get the Ringed Knight Spear. If you then head back to the swamp, stick to the right and you can grab the White Preacher Head tucked along the side.

After that, head back out and stick to the right again, circling past the bug like enemies and one who looks like the NPCs you've been chatting to - just run past them if you want - and you'll eventually come to a new bonfire sat by another locked door.

That'll take you to the next section: the Ringed City Streets.
