Crysis demo delayed

Editor included. [No relation - Ed]

After all the excitement of the Crysis demo arriving on the same day as Halo 3 launches, it turns out it's been delayed for a month.

Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli said that the extra time would ensure we all have "an amazing experience", and the delay was also a way of ensuring the game itself didn't miss its release date.

The demo is now due out on 26th October, while the full game will be released in Europe through EA on 16th November.

On the plus side, Yerli also revealed that the big surprise we'd all been promised alongside the demo will be the CryEngine 2 game editor. Good news for those of you who like poking around under the jungly bonnet.

For more on Crysis, including hands-on impressions, a studio tour feature, an interview with Yerli and exclusive footage of the ice and zero gravity gameplay, check out our Crysis gamepage.
