Skylanders Imaginators has been announced with an October 2016 release date. The US press release says 16th October, which is a Sunday, and the German press release says 14th October, which is a Friday - which sounds like a UK date to me.
The big new thing in Imaginators is the ability to build your own Skylanders, swapping legs, arms, body, heads, weapons and powers to create your own hodge-podge hero. These Imaginators can then be housed in new Creation Crystal toys - actual physical things you carry around with you that interact with Skylander portals. Bet they're expensive.
There's a new Sensei toy-range for the game, too. These Senseis can train your Imaginators and unlock weapons, areas and secret techniques. They also have big powers of their own to unleash. There are 31 to collect. Bet they're expensive too.
Skylanders Imaginators will be available on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U as well as PS4 and Xbox One. Starter Packs come with two new Skylanders toys, a Creation Crystal, a portal and copy of the game.
