Acti: Cataclysm out this year

Blizzard says it'll be ready when it's ready.

World of Warcraft expansion Cataclysm will be out "later this year", Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick has confirmed.

He was speaking during a webcast reporting the publisher's Q2 FY 2010 results.

Earlier this year Activision said the expansion was on track for release during the second half of the year, but now it's all proper confirmed.

That didn't stop Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime, also on the webcast, from urging caution.

"Although an exact release date has not yet been announced, we are on track to launch the expansion by the end of the year," he said.

"As with all Blizzard games though, we won't release until it's ready."

Make what you will of that.
