Combat Wings still alive, pops up on Xbox Marketplace

Out in June.

World War 2 flight sim Combat Wings is still alive, with a listing popping up on Xbox Marketplace (via XBLA Fans).

Fans had been concerned about the status of the game after it missed its announced Q1 2012 release window. A Facebook message from March read: "It's not cancelled, don't worry ;)," but we haven't heard since.

Microsoft's overview of Combat Wings mentions a 15th June 2012 release date. The game features offline play for up to two players, offline co-op for two-players, downloads and leaderboards.

As XBLA Fans points out, it's unclear at this stage whether the game is the planned retail game Combat Wings: The Great Battles of World War 2, or a stripped back downloadable replacement. Whatever it is, new screens are below.
