COD's twin-stick shooter mode revealed

Welcome to Dead Ops Arcade.

Call of Duty is for so many all about precision first-person shooting, but in Black Ops, out now, there's another perspective from which you can get your gun on: top-down.

Dead Ops Arcade is a top-down arcade shooter mini-game accessible only if you type the correct commands into a terminal in the main menu screen area.

After breaking free of your bonds (mash the triggers), head over to the terminal and enter DOA using the virtual keyboard to trigger the mini-game.

In the mode you use the right thumb stick to shoot and the left to move – in classic twin-stick fashion. There are zombies, power ups and other fun gubbins.

Activision's working hard to keep videos of the mode off the internet, but, given the game's out across the world, it's all a bit futile. YouTube's got you covered.

Eurogamer's Call of Duty: Black Ops review just went live. Boom!
