Chivalry: Medieval Warfare bags 1.2 million sales in 9 months

A good way to beheading.

A year ago, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare was an $85,000 Kickstarter success. Not a big name, not a big pot of cash. Today, however, the bloody and brilliant multiplayer medieval first-person slasher has sold more than 1.2 million copies - and it's £19 a pop on Steam.

That milestone has been achieved in nine months, according to a rightfully boastful infographic posted on the game's blog.

At it's peak, Chivalry had 23,233 playing at the same time. By far the most successful region is North America, where nearly half-a-million copies have been sold. The UK is second with nearly 100,000 copies sold.

Alongside the announcement come new customisation options for the game. They are new helmets, tabard patterns, shield patters and crests. You can colour your warrior's equipment too. A number of tweaks have been made to the game as well.
