New Rabbids game announced for Nintendo Switch

Though it's likely a China exclusive.

Ubisoft has revealed a Chinese-themed Rabbids game for the Switch, and it's set to be shown at the developer's booth at ChinaJoy this weekend.

The new party game is apparently inspired by Journey to the West, and will see the Rabbids (or Crazy Bunnies, as Google Translate tells me) travel back and forth through time and space, and ending up in China.

Unfortunately for western Rabbids fans, the game appears to be a China exclusive.

"Ubisoft is bringing an all new Rabbids experience to Chinese Nintendo Switch players, thanks to its talented development team in Chengdu," a Ubisoft spokesperson told Eurogamer.

"Known as 'Rabbids Party' in English, it's a party game for all ages, to be enjoyed solo or up to four players. This new game builds towards Ubisoft's ambition of creating meaningful experiences for Chinese players, based on its best-loved brands."

Based on this, it seems unlikely we'll get the new Rabbids game on this side of the globe, but we'll keep you updated if anything changes.
