Child of Light gets free illustrated storybook

Tells the tale of Reginald The Great.

Child of Light now has a free downloadable storybook entitled Child of Light: Reginald The Great.

Written by the game's scribe, Jeffrey Yohalem, this illustrated spinoff children's book follows the exploits of a young, spirited mouse named Reginald, son of Robert. This 18-page story covers how he came to meet his ally in adventure, Roberta.

"From the start, we wanted to explore Lemuria from different perspectives and protagonists. The illustrated books are set a couple of years after the event of the game", said the game's creative director Patrick Plourde. "Since the game was released, we received hundreds of illustrations and cosplay pictures from our amazing community. We also received very touching letters on how the game helped some of our fans in their lives, too. For all this, we want to say thank you. This illustrated book is our gift to them."

Eurogamer contributor Stace Harmon was a fan Ubisoft's fairy tale-esque RPG, which he called a "well-crafted, highly-polished gem" in his Child of Light review.
