C&C3: Kane Edition

Collector's bundle announced.

EA has announced a collector's pack for Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars, which will be released alongside the standard PC version in March.

Included in the "Kane Edition" is the customary bonus DVD. This one will let you watch out-takes and deleted scenes from the live action video shoots, which means watching people like Michael "Sam Fisher" Ironside say naughty things as they rollerskate into a wedding cake, or something. You can also watch the designers talk you through the tricky bits of the game, though it won't be as exciting.

Exclusive in-game content is also crammed in, offering five new multiplayer maps and three new unit skins - one for each of the three factions. If that doesn't make you giddy with excitement, then you can always decorate your desktop with one of five fancy wallpapers.

"The exclusive maps, strategy tutorials, special unit skins and 'making of' video provide hours of enjoyment to anyone who loves Command & Conquer," gobbled EALA vice president Mike Verdu. "The 'blooper reel' is just flat out funny. I can't wait for Command & Conquer fans to get their hands on this game."

There's no mention of price or whether they will offer the same package for the Xbox 360 version, which launches later this year.

Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars promises to return with a nod to its roots. Sorry - to return the franchise to its Nod versus GDI roots. Kane's back together with high-definition video sequences, and this time he's joined by tank-load of top-notch actors.
