The best Amazon Black Friday gaming deals 2021

We've handpicked the best deals from this year's Black Friday sale.
We've handpicked the best deals from this year's Black Friday sale.

It's that time of the year again... This year's Black Friday sale is nearly upon us and when it comes to discounts on gaming gear - whether it's new consoles, the latest titles, PC gear or gaming peripherals - there's a mountain of deals on Amazon. So many, in fact, that we've dedicated an entire page to them.

That said, if you want to check out what's available elsewhere, GAME, Currys PC World and AO also have plenty of bargains available. You can check out GAME's Black Friday here. Amazon is matching or beating most of those prices (remember GAME charges for delivery) but you can grab The Last of Us: Part II for £10 + delivery.

We'd definitely recommend checking out AO's Black Friday game sale as they're price matching or beating most retailers. TLOU is £10 from there, too, and you can also grab Returnal for £40 and Ratchet and Clank for £25. Check out AO's full selection of deals here

As for Currys PC World, Crash Bandicoot 4 (£25), Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remake (£18) and Aliens Fireteam Elite (£20) are just some of the deals waiting for you. Check them out here.

If you already know what you're looking for, use the list below to jump to the section you're after.

Amazon has officially launched its early Black Friday deals and there's a lot of them... From bargain prices on the latest Nintendo Switch titles, discounted console bundles and big savings on PlayStation plus subscriptions, we've rounded up the best of what's available here.

Black Friday PlayStation console and game deals

The PS5 is still difficult to find and we're not expecting any big deals to pop up this year considering the demand for the console. That said, we're hoping for more stock to be released between now and next week, but the only 'savings' you'll get are on big bundles with a lot of stuff in that you probably don't need (T-shirts, third-party accessories, etc.)

You can check out our full list of the best Black Friday PS5 deals here, and below you'll find a selection of the best Amazon deals on PS4 and PS5 titles.

Black Friday PlayStation deals on controllers and accessories

If you're in the market for a new PlayStation controller, headset or charging station, there are some great deals available right now. Take a look below.

Top up your PlayStation Plus/Now subscription

Great news: you can now top up your PlayStation Plus subscription with a 12-month membership for just £32.99

Black Friday Xbox console and game deals

Xbox Series X stock is still nigh on impossible to find, although in the rare cases where stock does become available, orders are staying up for a lot longer. Listings lasted for an entire hour on Prime Day this year. A positive sign that stock issues are slowly clearing up? Hopefully.

While the Series X is hard to find, Series S consoles are in stock from pretty much everywhere. The RRP for the console is £249 and while you'll struggle to find it for sale below that, you can pick up some discounted extras if you go for a bundle, like this Xbox Series S and Recon 500 Arctic gaming headset bundle for £284.99.

As for games, most of the ones you probably want to play on your Xbox are available through Game Pass (if you don't have a subscription or need to renew you'll find the best prices lower down), but there are plenty of third-party titles that you won't find on the subscription service. Check out the best deals below.

Black Friday Xbox deals on controllers and accessories

There's not much out there on first-party accessories at the moment, but there are plenty of great deals on third-party headsets, especially with Razer's early Black Friday deals. Find them below.

Expand your Xbox storage

If you've been making the most out of your Gamepass Ultimate membership and the Games with Gold offering, it's likely that your console's internal memory is getting pretty full (if it isn't full already!).

You've got a couple of options open to you when it comes to expanding your Series X/S memory. The cheapest option is to grab an external HDD and use it to store any games you've downloaded. Just be mindful that you won't be able to play current-gen games direct from the external drive, so you'll still need to move them back and forth between your drive and the console. This saves more time than having to delete them and re-download them every time, though.

The second and more expansive option is to expand your console's internal memory using the 1TB Seagate expansion memory card (officially licensed).

You can check out the best deals on HDDs and SSDs from Amazon below, but we'd also recommend you take a look at our round-up of the best Black Friday SSD and HDD deals for Xbox here

Grab a discount on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions

Deals on Game Pass subscriptions have been harder to find as the install base for Ultimate grows bigger. To be honest, that's not too surprising given the massive selection of games now available on the platform. While we cross our fingers for a decent deal on Amazon, don't forget that new members can pick up their first month for just £1 here, although it's also on sale for £9.99 for everyone else.

It's also worth noting that any mobile users on EE can register for a Game Pass Ultimate subscription and unlimited gaming data for just £10 extra per month through their contract. Not a bad deal at all, especially if your existing contract is data-limited. You can find more information on EE's Xbox deal here.

Black Friday Nintendo Switch console bundles

Now that the Nintendo Switch OLED is out, most retailers have discounted the original Nintendo Switch consoles (not the Lites) to £259. There have been plenty of discounted Nintendo Switch bundles popping up on Amazon over the last few weeks. Most of these bundles included a first-party title such as Skyward Sword or Mario Kart for £298 but they're now sold out. Some are still available, though, and we've left these below.

There are some decent deals on Nintendo Switch Lite bundles too, although the colour variants (coral, blue, etc.) are still sitting around their RRPs. Don't forget to check out the best Nintendo Switch deals here.

Black Friday Nintendo Switch game deals

There's £10 off an impressive selection of first-party Switch titles at the time of writing, as well as the early Black Friday deals on Ubisoft titles and a few others. Grab them below.

Best Black Friday Nintendo Switch memory card deals

Honestly, we'd be surprised if your Nintendo Switch hasn't run out of storage space if you've got more than a couple of games for it. There's not much room in the Switch's 32GB internal memory, but you can upgrade it to a whopping 2TB with a compatible microSDHD or microSDXC card.

We'd recommend reading through Digital Foundry's list of the best MicroSD cards for the Nintendo Switch before checking out the best deals on Amazon below.

Nintendo Switch Online deals

The cost of your Nintendo Switch Online membership has changed since the inclusion of N64 and Sega Mega Drive titles, and Animal Crossing's Happy Home Paradise DLC as part of your membership. . These are optional, mind, as part of an expansion pack that costs £34.99 (RRP). Some issues aside, they're an easy way of replaying the likes of Ocarina of Time and Mario Kart 64 if you don't have an N64 sitting around.

Your standard membership is still £17.99, and while there are no deals on Amazon at the moment, you can save 17% by grabbing a 12-month membership from ShopTo for £14.85.

Big discounts on gaming mice, keyboards and headsets

With the likes of Razer, Logitech and Corsair running a variety of early Black Friday deals, there are plenty of bargains to be had right now. While the majority of their products are discounted, some haven't reached their 2020 Black Friday prices, so we're expecting further drops yet.

As well as the Amazon deals we've included below, you can check out Digital Foundry's rundown of the best Black Friday PC deals on headsets, monitors, mice, keyboards and more.

Black Friday gaming monitor deals

Black Friday always has a decent selection of gaming monitors to choose from, and this year is no different. There are plenty of brands discounting their monitors in early Black Friday deals and we'd recommend checking out Digital Foundry's selection of the best gaming monitors in 2021 to help you make your decision.

You can find some of the best offers right now on Amazon below, as well as a larger selection of gaming monitors over on our Best Black Friday gaming monitor deals page.

Black Friday gaming laptops and PC hardware deals

Finally, we've got a selection of great deals on gaming laptops and pre-built PCs. Bear in mind that these might be your best option right now given the continued supply issues around graphics cards and other important PC components

That's it for now. Be sure to keep checking back as we'll be updating this page when new deals get announced. You can also stay up to date with the latest Black Friday deals, as well as Xbox Series X and PS5 stock announcements, by following Jelly Deals on Twitter.
