Bethesda reveals starry Elder Scrolls Online cast

Cleese! Gambon! Molina! Nighy!

Elder Scrolls Online publisher Bethesda has roped in a green room full of acting talent to voice some of the key characters in its upcoming MMO.

The cast includes British stars such as Bill Nighy, Kate Beckinsale, Python legend John Cleese and Dumbledore himself: Michael Gambon.

Alfred Molina and A Clockwork Orange's Malcolm McDowell also have roles - as does regular video game voice actress Jennifer Hale (FemShep, Rosalind Lutece).

Nighy will take on the role of a merchant prince, Molina will play a wizard politician, while Beckinsale will portray Queen Ayrenn, leader of the Aldmeri Dominion.

It sounds like McDowell plays the game's Big Bad - Molag Bal, an evil Daedric god. Gambon meanwhile gets to be a mysterious blind chap named The Prophet who guides the player through their journey.

Skyrim's Lynda Carter is also back as Azura, the Daedric Princess of Dusk and Dawn.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 announced its own cast list earlier today, including Robert Carlyle, Patrick Stewart and Robb Stark. Clearly no one could afford Gandalf.
