Balloons, Adventures, Death

It's Virtual Console time again.

The European Virtual Console has floated, adventured and, er, died its way towards the magic 100-games total its American counterpart hit earlier this week, but sadly fell just short. Still, you're probably more interested in what you're getting with games 97, 98 and 99.

The answer is a pair of NES releases and one from the TurboGrafx shelf. On the NES front, Balloon Fight and Adventures of Lolo demand 500 points each for their company, while (surprise, surprise) scrolling shoot-'em-up Dead Moon wants 600. All three are quite serviceable, though not exactly spectacular.

Or at least that's what we think. What our Virtual Console hero Dan Whitehead makes of it all is another matter, and one to be cleared up tomorrow in our weekly roundup, when we'll also be dipping into other areas of the back catalogue and analysing the likes of Super Probotector and a pair of "tenly" Nintendo classics.
