Assassin's Creed Unity - The Jacobin Club, Templar Ambush, maze, Snipers

Our Unity walkthrough continues with a guide to making it through the sixth sequence of the game, and ticking off all four of the Challenges.

When the cut-scene's finished you'll be in a good place to tick off your first Challenge to drive a couple of Snipers berserk. Equip your Berserker Blades and get closer to your targets on the nearby rooftops. Wait for the one that's right ahead of you to look away, then get up on the roof above him. Activate your Eagle Vision so you know when he's turned around, then get things started. You can find a couple more Snipers just over to the north-east.

The Jacobin Club

When you're done, head north-east and then slip inside the building using the open window. Make sure you get into cover straight afterwards though, as there are a few unpleasant characters waiting for you just a little further ahead.

From this position of cover you'll be able to see the enemies in the centre of the room. Your job is to sneak through the nearest door, then skulk through another to get onto a balcony. When you get there, turn on your Eagle Vision to get a bead on La Touche. This will finish your first objective.

You shouldn't find this next section too tricky, as La Touche likes to stop and talk as he moves along. Just leap across the chandeliers until you reach the balcony on the other side of the area. Next, get into cover by the door and switch on your Eagle Vision. When the pair of guards turn around, go inside and slip into the hiding place. When a guard walks near you, kill him from the shadows but leave his friend alone - it can trigger interest from La Touche as he wanders around.

Keep going south through this building until you come to a room with a stairwell in it. There's also a guard pacing backwards and forwards between the doors. Wait until he turns his back to you, then take him down quickly from a hiding position. If La Touche is nearby, wait for him to move on before finishing this cover kill, otherwise you can mess up the Challenge.

When you've killed the guard and La Touche has moved upstairs, leave your position and take a left. Go through the open door and then climb up the wall so you can see what's going on through the window. It goes without saying that you need to avoid being spotted here, and obviously don't actually enter through the window!

When La Touche concludes his meeting, make your way back down to the ground floor, then use your Eagle Vision to keep track of him. After a short amount of time your current objective will be updated.

Find a place to spy on the meeting

Head downstairs until you get to the basement. Use your lockpicking skills on the door down here, then go inside the room to start a new cut-scene and finish your objective. When it ends, switch your Eagle Vision on so you can track the three guards down here. When they're dead, make your way back to the window you crept in through, and deal with any enemies you encounter along the way. Once you escape the building you'll finish up this memory.

The Jacobin Club Challenges

  • Two Snipers driven berserk
  • Two kills from hiding spots

Templar Ambush

This memory starts with a new waypoint marker. It's a pretty easy trip so just make your way there. Note, however, that you'll need the Double Assassination skill to tick off one of the Challenges in our walkthrough.

Look for the shaded area on your mini-map as you get near Elise. When you step inside this zone you'll both begin a new objective and open up the headshot Challenge. Pick your favourite weapon, head down to the ground and just shoot your opponents in the head. Once you've finished four of them off, you'll complete the Challenge.

Escape the Maze

After the next cut-scene ends you'll have to defend Elise, then kill the enemies in the middle of the maze. From here, go through the opening on your right, then use the following instructions to make it to the exit. If you switch on your Eagle Vision, you'll also identify some guards to help you complete the memory's second Challenge.

  • Turn right
  • Take a second right
  • Turn left into the first gap, then go left again
  • Turn right into the next gap, then go right again
  • Go left
  • Ignore the gap ahead and instead turn right
  • Right again
  • Go left, then follow the path on your right
  • Go left again, then follow the path on your right
  • Head forwards until you're in the clear

Now you're free of the maze, it's time to take out your enemies. Kill anyone on the street who's been designated with a red marker, and finish off any headshots you still need for the Challenge. When you get near the Snipers, get up on the roof and kill them using Air Assassinations.

When the next cut-scene finishes you'll need to escape the area. Just run through the streets and use the buildings and your parkour abilities to lose line of sight and get away from your enemies. Gain enough ground and the memory will automatically conclude.

Templar Ambush Challenges

  • Two double assassinations
