Wii Music, Health Pack just ideas - Greek reporter

Nintendo distie misunderstood.

The journalist responsible for an interview with the CEO of Nintendo's Greek distribution partner, in which it was suggested that Wii Music and Wii Health Pack titles might be in the offing, has told Eurogamer that his original report was misinterpreted.

"[George Katrinakis] told me what he is thinking of the future of the console and what he wants to see in the library of Wii. This is not a revelation, this is an estimation," Pavlos Papapavlou explained in an email.

Earlier Nintendo UK had said it was "not announcing anything further on these titles at this time" in response to the interview, fuelling suggestions that it's up to something, even if Mr. Katrinakis' comments weren't what they seemed.

Originally a rough (read: Altavista) translation of the interview, picked up on by Joystiq, pointed to a musical game similar to the conductor demo shown at E3 last year.

Meanwhile, the Wii Health Pack, it was suggested, would offer players a workout and compile biometric data before transmitting it to hospitals through a new Wii Channel, offering players a sort of home check-up a few hours after submission.

Papapavlou said the Greek site that published the interview would issue a statement clearing things up in due course.
