Way of the Samurai 3 coming to 360

New content, but Japan-only.

Acquire's PS3 action-adventure Way of the Samurai 3 is on its way to Xbox 360 in Japan.

The announcement was made via a New Year's Day video message on the website of publisher Spike, as spotted by IGN.

It's the first multi-format excursion for the cult series, which saw its first two instalments (and spin-off title Samurai Western) released on PlayStation 2.

Additional content was promised for the 360 version. As yet, both editions of the game remain exclusive to Japan - but all previous entries in the series made it west, so we live in hope.

The PS3 release made quite an impression on the Japanese charts in November. But it seems that the 360's hardcore fanbase in Japan is now big enough (or the PS3's small enough) for otaku hits like this to warrant a conversion.
