Warzone best C58 loadout: Our C58 class setup and how to unlock the C58 explained

In case there weren't enough assault rifles already.

Looking for a new assault rifle? Create the best Warzone C58 loadout with our class set up recommendation.

The C58 in Warzone is one of the new weapons introduced in Warzone Season 4, alongside the MG 82 and Nail Gun.

Presenting itself with a slower but puncher fire rate than other assault rifles, the C58 can be an interesting contestant on the roster in both Warzone and Black Ops: Cold War.

This page will cover how to unlock the C58 in the quickest way possible, and our the best C58 loadout and C58 class recommendations.

How to unlock the C58 in Warzone

At launch, the C58 could be acquired by purchasing shop blueprints or just by leveling up the battle pass.

After Season 5, to unlock the C58 in Warzone and Black Ops: Cold War, you must get a Long Shot kill in 15 different completed matches, using assault rifles of course.

While is not as convenient as just leveling up the battle pass like it was originally, it's a straightforward challenge. Plus, assault rifles are great for long distances by nature.

The only problem is that it can be rather time consuming to do this across 15 matches. But if you were planning on doing a marathon or two already, doing just one Long Shot kill per match isn't a high requirement by any means. In Cold War, any 24/7 modes and Team Deathmatch playlists are the way to go.

If you're opting for Warzone instead, we recommend sticking to Plunder so you can revive throughout the match. Again, getting one Long Shot kill isn't a lot, but Plunder will allow you to rest easy in case you get shot down before you accomplish it.

Best Warzone C58 loadout and attachments

Below are our recommendations for an optimal C58 loadout:

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor (Unlocks at level 46)
  • Barrel: 18.7" Ranger (Unlocks at level 30)
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x (Unlocks at level 22)
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip (Unlocks at level 41)
  • Ammunition: STANAG 55 Rnd (Unlocks at level 34)

The Agency Suppressor requires quite a bit of leveling, but it's the best in the muzzle category. Alongside sound suppression to keep the weapon as silent as possible, it comes with an increase to bullet velocity, damage range and vertical recoil control. Both the aiming stability and aim down sight speed will be affected slightly, but not by a large margin.

Onto the barrel. We're going to increase that bullet velocity and vertical recoil control even further with the 18.7" Ranger. Your aiming speed while walking is decreased as a result, as well as the rifle's hip fire accuracy, though it's worth the trade-off.

Instead of a laser or a stock, the C58 really benefits from an optic. In particular we've found the Axial Arms 3x to be the best option, granting zoom magnification with a decent iron sight. Combined with our choices for the muzzle and barrel categories, long distance damage will be as powerful as it can be, so having a clear view of distant targets is important.

Next, the underbarrel. We've opted for the Field Agent Grip this time round, which boosts both horizontal and vertical recoil control. Firing and ADS firing movement speed get a decrease, but only slightly. Even though the recoil in the C58 is fairly manageable by default, the rather slow fire rate requires for you to almost never miss a shot to make the most of the weapon, so it's key to have it on check.

Lastly, ammunition. This is key since the magazine will be somewhat limited from the get-go, for which the STANAG 55 Rnd can help greatly. It comes with the cost of reducing ADS time and reload quickness, but this won't be a big worry.

Best Warzone C58 class setup, perks and equipment

Here's our choices for the best items - such as equipment and Perks - to make the best C58 class setup in Warzone:

  • Perk 1: Quick Fix (Unlocks at level 42)
  • Perk 2: Overkill (Unlocks at level 38)
  • Perk 3: Amped (Unlocks at level 1)
  • Primary: Swiss K31 (Unlocks at level 15 of the Battle Pass)
  • Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor (Unlocks at level 30)
  • Lethal: Proximity Mine (Unlocks at level 43)

The C58 isn't as fast as other assault rifles, but the fire rate is compensated with tonnes of damage. It won't take long to start taking down enemies, so beginning health regeneration immediately after each battle with Quick Fix makes for a great combo. If level 42 sounds a bit steep, go for E.O.D., which will help to mitigate damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire until then.

As per usual we recommend opting for Overkill as the second perk. As for our weapon of choice, the PPSh-41 is the perfect pair. Since our C58 build focuses on long range distances, it's good to have a short range option to counter any enemies at close proximities quickly and efficiently.

Whenever a target manages to sneak up on you, don't fret, as Amped will increase the speed of switching weapons.

As for equipment, we opted to use the Heartbeat Sensor ourselves. If you lose sight of a target or just want to double check the perimeter before going inside a building, a quick look at the sensor is a great strategy.

Lastly, we can't recommend the Proximity Mine enough; it's quick to deploy and will always cover your back, especially if you place it at the side of entrances or stairs. Stray frag grenades only cause noise in the distance, but even if the mine fails, it will still serve as an alarm of enemies approaching your location.
