Virtual Console now onto re-runs

Bizarre antics and bizarre sport.

Another week, another "another week" intro, another pair of games you've probably never heard of on Nintendo's Virtual Console.

This time TurboGrafx-16's The Dynastic Hero plays the role of "what's that then?" to NeoGeo's Baseball Stars 2, which is playing the more traditional "meh" part. They're 800 and 900 Wii Points respectively, somewhat astonishingly.

Anyway, I've enjoyed the privilege of peeking at Dan Whitehead's Virtual Console Roundup notes in advance this week, though, and happens to know he rates both of these. How much? Find out in the morning.

In the meantime, there are some Baseball Stars 2 screenshots floating around on the other side of the blue words, and it's also worth pointing out that, er, The Dynastic Hero is just the TurboGrafx-16 version of Wonder Boy in Monster World. Bizarre.

Wii fans might do better to invest their money in a new game instead, then, such as Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, which is due out today according to our old friend What's New.
