US PSN update moves to Tuesday

A day ahead of Europe.

Sony is moving the US PlayStation Store update to a Tuesday, the US PS blog has revealed.

The European PS Store will, from next week, be updated on a Wednesday.

Both territories used to be updated on Thursday. We're asking Sony why the days have now been split.

Sony has shifted the dates forward to ensure PS3 downloadable games and demos are available as close to their Xbox 360 siblings as possible.

European PlayStation 3 owners, however, routinely find themselves waiting an extra week for demos and content to be localised for PAL release.
