Ubisoft storms UK Top 40

As TMNT takes number one.

Ubisoft has taken the number one position in the UK All Formats charts this week with movie tie-in TMNT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, GamesIndustry.biz reports.

Elsewhere, the French publisher has stormed the rest of the top forty with promotions across a range of super-budget PC titles.

Seven Ubisoft games re-enter the charts this week, including Rayman 2: The Great Escape at three and Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 at six.

This week's only new entry is Nintendo's Pokemon Ranger for the DS at number two, the publisher's fourth Pokemon title for the handheld system.

EA's Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 climbs up the charts to number four, ahead of last week's number one, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars at number five.

Codemasters' Brian Lara International Cricket 2007 is at seven and Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories at eight.

Nintendo's Dr Kawashima's Brain Training is at number nine this week, while Ubisoft's third budget title in the top ten is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, at ten.

The rest of the Ubisoft budget titles enjoying resurgent sales are Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon at number 16, Heroes of Might & Magic IV at 18, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 Gold at 23 and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell at 25.
