THQ reveals Marvel Super Squad

Plans franchise, out this year.

THQ has announced a new game called Marvel Super Squad that will launch in the autumn.

Company power-dressers spilled the beans during an annual earnings call last night, revealing plans to turn Marvel Super Squad into a game-a-year franchise, assuming everything goes to plan.

Each instalment, according to IGN, will focus on a different Marvel superhero such as Hulk, Iron Man, Spider-Man and Wolverine. Supervillains like Doctor Doom, Magneto and Abomination will also be covered.

Platforms and gameplay specifics were not mentioned.

THQ Europe stood by the announcement but had nothing further to add.
